Welcome

Hello, and thank you for stopping by! A few years ago my friends and I started a kids study circle. During that time, I was looking for religious stories I could read out to the kids. Although I stumbled on some really well written ones during the first couple months, it was hard to find good (and free) material listed all in one place. I wanted a resource which parents could use to tell stories, stories that grabbed a child’s interest while introducing an Islamic concept at the same time. That was the start of the process (at least in my mind) for this blog. Because I love to cook, and feel that stories and meals go together, I’ve included recipes on here as well.

My husband and I have three daughters on whom some of the stories are loosely based. Their remarks, jokes and antics keep us busy and quite entertained.

When I’m not spending time with my family, working or writing, I experiment with recipes, drink a lot of coffee, work in my yard, read or spend time with my friends.

I’d love to hear from you – please feel free to give me your feedback. If you’re on Facebook, you can find my page here.

Happy reading and savoring!
