Lately, thanks to all the snow days, we’ve been watching quite a few kid friendly movies at our house. And movies generally mean popcorn. I prefer to make homemade popcorn – it’s pretty easy, just follow the instructions on the back of the bag.
Last week, I went a step further, and played with some flavorings for the popcorn. I tried out two kinds, both which the kids and my husband liked. He preferred the savory one, the kids wanted more of the sweet kind.
Here’s how I made the Parm cheese pop corn :
Mix together 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning and 1/4 tsp garlic powder. Add to 4 cups of popcorn and mix well. Toss with 2 tbsp melted butter. Devour.
Now on to the Cinnamon sugar one :
Drizzle 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tbsp melted butter, 1 tbsp condensed milk, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon over 4 cups of popcorn. Toss well to coat evenly and serve.
My kids thought this one tasted like churros. So good!
Yum! Have you tried Sriracha popcorn? Similar process as yours with the popping and then I toss mine in a mixture of about even parts of melted butter Sriracha. It’s not too spicy but the favour explosion in your mouth is just Wow!
Yum parm.cheese. I’ll do that next time.
YUMMY!!!
